SKINCARE

What can I expect from a skincare treatment?

Each skincare treatment is fully customized to each client’s individual needs. Check out our services page for a more detailed description of each treatment.

Why should I get a facial?

A facial is healing, relaxing, and soothing. They are great for the mind and even better for the skin. Facials increase cell reproduction, meaning smoother softer skin, stimulate circulation, improve hydration, help heal existing blemishes and prevent future breakouts. In simple words facials improve the texture, tone, and overall health of the skin.

Are your products safe for pregnant women?

Our products use natural ingredients from the earth and sea and are free of harmful chemicals and synthetic fragrances and dyes which make them great for everyone. However, some of the skincare products do contain essential oils so be sure to consult with your doctor before any skin treatment.

Will I breakout after a facial?

With the introduction of new products to the skin it is possible that some breakouts may occurs as the impurities are driven to the surface of the skin. This does not always happen, but if it does, the breakouts are usually minimal.

What is an extraction?

It is the manual removal of impurities such as blackheads and pustules.

Sugaring

What is Sugaring?

Sugaring is a natural form of hair removal dating back to ancient Egypt! Using a paste made of sugar, water, and lemons, the ball of sugar is applied against the hair growth and removed with hair growth. Because it’s only warmed to body temp and made from natural ingredients it is a great alternative to waxing for those with sensitive skin.

How do I prepare for sugaring?

The hair in the area being waxed should be about 1/4” to 1/2” thick or approximately the size of a grain of rice. Trimming will be offered at the time of the service for longer hair. Be sure to exfoliate, cleanse, and moisturize the area a few days prior to your appointment.

Can I sugar while I’m on my period?

It is not recommended to be waxed 3 days prior, during, or after your period due to heightened sensitivity. If you choose to get a Brazilian service while on your cycle please wear a tampon.

How far in advance should I book an appointment?

We suggest booking your waxing appointment at least 3-4 days prior to any vacation or event to allow time for the skin to heal.

How often should I be getting sugared?

It depends on the area being waxed and your personal hair growth cycle. A time frame for rescheduling will be suggested at the time of your services. Generally it will be 3-4 weeks between services.
